The Kelingking beach will give you an amazing experience located in Nusa Penida Island. It’s a secluded white sand beach with turquoise blue water, and surrounded by headlands & steep cliffs. You can sit on the top of the hill and enjoy the limestone headland covered in green, against the deep blue waters of the open Indian Ocean.  Just go from Sanur Beach, take a public boat where tickets are sold there / online as well, with a trip of around 1 hour to Nusa Penida. When you arrive then rent a motorbike and walk to Manta Point.

For those who like tours to ancient places, I recommend an ancient place in Ubud, Gunung Kawi. It’s one of the temples is one of the tourist attractions in Bali that must be visited. Gunung Kawi is a temple complex centered around royal tombs carved into stone cliffs in the 11th century.  From the entrance to Gunung Kawi is a rather steep climb down some 300 steps to reach the temple.

There’s no public transportation to get to the temple. However, Visitors can find a car rental with a driver that provides Gunung Kawi Temple Sightseeing Tour. You need to wear a sarong – you can get one inside the temple for free (donation optional).  The climb out is quite steep so take them slowly in the Balinese heat, but it’s well worth the trip.

Made Byasa and his family (Pandawa’s family) lost a bet with Kurawa in the 1960. The punishment is that the entire Pandawa family is exiled to live in the forest for 12 years. So to protect the whole family from the coming threat, the Pandawa’s family made an underground cave called Goa Gala-Gala.

The underground house is dug into the rock and covers and area of five hundred square metres. Made Byasa built this underground house by himself using nothing more than a crowbar. No wonder it takes 11 years to complete!

Mount Batur is the “most climbed by tourists” volcano and is a great experience for beginners. Experience hikers would be easy to hike this mountain as the route is straight forward and you’ll reach the summit in under 2 hours. But note that it’s a must to hire a guide with a group if you want the pre-sunrise hike.

From the foot of Mount Batur, you’ll turn your flashlights on then set out with the group. You start your trekking journey at 3 a.m to be able to see the sun rises in the east, over the Indian Ocean and the neighbouring island of Lombok. You and your group will arrive at the crater of Mount Batur at 5 a.m.
